About Seeds of Nature
Seeds of Nature, LLC is a US based Cocoa bean importing company whose members have ownership interest in several farms in West Africa. They also source our cocoa beans from other farmers or co-ops and strongly believe in sourcing our product in a sustainable manner. As a result their mandate is to support the livelihood of farmers by promoting sustainable, environmentally sound farming practices, fair prices and ending abusive child labor on these farms.

Our ability to source top quality cocoa beans from these farmers and their farms, causes our products to be highly desirable. Our customers are Cocoa bean processors, Chocolate food/ beverage/ bakery manufacturers and Chocolate Connoisseurs who desire to make their own chocolate.

Harvesting
Cacao pods are carefully removed from the trees and gathered together for splitting of the pods and removal of the beans. The beans are then laid out to ferment and then to dry. The fermentation process can take 3- 9 days. Fermentation requires the involvement of yeast, bacteria and insects! It is this fermentation process that removes bitterness and also converts sugars to acids and releases enzymes that can enhance flavor quality when the beans are later roasted. After drying beans are packaged for shipment.

Cocoa Beans, processed into Chocolate, are enjoyed by millions of Chocolate lovers around the world in the form of food, drink and other consumer items with 3 million tons of
beans consumed each year.

The integrity of the Cocoa Bean's inherent quality is nature's gift and must be preserved, protected and promoted. Reward is due to those cocoa farmers who respect nature
and have demonstrated genuine work ethics in the cultivation of Cocoa Beans. "Anyone can count the number of ‘Beans’ on a Cocoa tree, only GOD knows the number of Cocoa trees
that are inside a single “Cocoa Bean"!
